Indus Travels – Traveller Reviews

Here is Reviews what some of our past traveller’s have to say about their holiday tours with Indus Travels:

My wife and I went to India and Nepal on the first week of April 2017 on a guided tour arranged by Indus Travels

Travel Director: With the exception of some unforeseen circumstances, our travel director (“Yogi”) is amongst the best we have experienced. He was just as good or even better than our past travel directors with Trafalgar Travel or Super China Holidays. In addition to sticking closely to the itineraries, he recommended and joined us on several dinner meal in reasonable priced local favorites restaurants. It can be quite stressful to find a good restaurant in a foreign country without being gouged by the exorbitant prices offered by the local five-star hotel. He even took time after hours to check on my wife condition after she missed a day of event due to heat exhaustion. It meant a lot to her that he cares to come by to visit. Yogi broke up the long ride from one city to the next by taught and tested us some local sentences such as thank you, greetings, need water, etc..and numeric counting. We watched some Bollywood movies on board the bus and tried to emulate some dance move while on the move. Our F1 caliber driver kept us hydrated with chilled bottle water.

Travel Agent: It’s true our busy travel agent, Ms. Minnie Poon is not always available to answer our call but she has always responded to all our enquiries via email within 24 hours. It would ideal if she is familiar with the India/Nepal area but it would be unrealistic for every travel agent to know-it-all considering Indus Travel cater to customers on so many continents.

Indus Travel staff: The on-line application e-visa to India was quite challenging. It would be nice to have a one-page user guide to navigate the application process. In Nepal, please advise all your customers to fill up Visa Application at the computer terminal kiosk before standing in line to paid the visa fee. I think this was the single most stressful moment on our trip. The direction at the Immigration and Customs is almost none existence.

I know I sound liked a paid employee of Indus Travels but I really think everyone from the travel director, driver, travel agent, and local contacts tried their best to make our visit to India and Nepal a memorable one. Thank you guys… “#%it” happens sometimes along the way but they were able to resolve the issues every time.

We travelled with a group of 21 to Northern India. Lavina was our booking agent and she was very experienced and helpful. Luv was our in-country guide. The trip went very smoothly and the quality of the hotels, food and sight-seeing was superb. Luv is fun, competent and extremely knowledgeable. Every detail went exactly as outlined our itinerary for our custom cuisine and culture tour. So many of the details were extraordinary like being greeted with rose petals and marigolds falling from a window above at a restaurant in Varanasi, cooking at the home of a chef in Delhi, visiting the volunteer kitchens at The Golden Temple in Amritsar and staying at the amazing Ananda Spa in the Himalayas.

Indus does 4-5 star India incredibly well. I highly recommend them.

I was hesitant to book with Indus Travels when reading some of the negative reviews but I had a wonderful experience. My boyfriend and I just got back from the Thailand Island hopper tour and it went without a hitch. All of our transportation was arranged and easy to navigate. Communicating with the travel agents was easy and they responded timely to any questions. They provided emergency contact info and itineraries we very detailed. I would definitely book with them again.

I booked a South Africa and Dubai trip with Indus Travels. I saw the deal on Travel Zoo and it seemed a great value for money and it was indeed. Only later I realized they are local and in greater Vancouver area. We flew with Emirates from Seattle and had a week in South Africa with nice hotels and great guides and services. Everything went well and we got to see the Big five. On the way back we stayed in Dubai in nice 4 star hotel Hilton Inn. Another great experience. For our next vacation, I am now looking to their tours to Peru which are also very well priced. I recommend Indus Travels for those who are looking for organized group tours with reasonable pricing.

Fantastic holidays for an amazing price! We were recommended to use Indus travels for our family trip by a friend of ours and we could not have had a better time. Even when the weather was not on our side our tour guide made sure we still enjoyed every second of it. Great trip!
